Yoga Flow - Opening the the retreat with a fully immersive practise of Flow Yoga will not only shift unspent doubt but will refuel the tank for the day ahead. Don’t be put off by the title ‘Flow Yoga’ this will not be as intense as it sounds. Expect a continual Flow of Asanas, tracing through the body’s chains, stomping out any mind interference by finding stillness in motion. This practice will include Asana (movement), Pranayama (breath work) and Meditation, closing with an extended guided Savasana.
Break - Water in and water out break. (Or chai tea and gingerbread..) Let’s see what I can mix up up in the kitchen!
Yoga Yin - After a Flow Yoga practice the fascia of the body will sure be receptive to a dose of Yin. This whole practice will be floor based with each posture lasting a few minutes. To the logical mind, a deep stretch with the aim of increasing circulation and improving flexibility. To the energetic mind, a beautiful journey of clearance, re-set with a more meditative journey of inner silence and universal connection.
Cacao Ceremony - After many requests from you I am so excited to invite Trudi to be a part of our day. Cacao is an ancient medicine, shared in ceremony for thousands of years with the most amazing health benefits, when drunk regularly.
When drinking with intention, Cacao has the ability to connect us to our hearts and shine on our creative and mystical souls. Allowing us to feel free to express our true nature, in whatever form that may take. Drinking this raw chocolate elixir before going into a Sound bath, will allow our thoughts to come from our hearts and not our heads.
Sound Bath - Sharon and I have collaborated many times and I know you are excited about her return to the village! Sharon’s sound baths are mixture of music by her rather impressive Himalayan singing bowls, chimes, drums and her sweet, sweet voice. Usually you are lying down for this experience but finding any comfortable positions and resting back to the sound as it works within the space of your body is most important. The echos of the vibrations dusts stress residue out of the body and creates calm. Bring pillows, duvets, eye masks, warm socks and anything else that will give you comfort as we close the day with a climax :)
